Community Educational Outreach
Westerville Garden Club sponsors an informational education series of sessions. The topics vary, but focus on improving the community’s understanding about caring for, improving, cultivating, and plant diversity.

Autumn ArborFest
This Westerville Parks and Recreation community event was held the third Saturday of September at Alum Creek Park North. It is a family event dedicated to trees. Our garden club helps advertise and provides hands-on children’s activities. We also give away trees and assist visitors with further information.
National Garden Week
National Garden Week is the first full week in June. We do special activities to draw attention to the importance of home gardening. We provide free seeds to the community at several public locations.

Westerville Garden Club Annual Sale
Each year the club sponsors our annual fund-raiser the Saturday before Mothers Day. Our members participate and share their garden knowledge with local shoppers. In addition to nursery grown plants, members contribute their own cultivated native, house, and perennial plants , as well as garden treasures some gently used, and up cycled treasures.
Seed Library
Westerville Garden Club participates in National Seed Swap Day annually on the last Saturday in January. This event is hosted by the Westerville Public Library’s Seed Library and is held at the library. It improves awareness that seeds can be acquired through other means than retail purchases. Our members share their knowledge of harvesting, storing and growing plants from seeds. It also provides the opportunity to exchange house plants.
